Catching Up

This was a familiar scene every night while working in Burnt Cabins at my cousins future home. The air mattress was a great improvement from our first weekend there, sleeping on just a blanket.

Welcome to the boring blog!

Sorry it has been so long. Bill and I are working away a lot this summer. We are spending the whole week away from home and on the job site. My cousin, who will be getting married in August, they are fixing up an old farmhouse. Bill and I are doing the drywall. It is near Maryland. In fact, you can see a small part of the PA Turnpike from the house where they will be living. We also done a 8-12 pitch church roof in the New Lancaster Valley/Reedsville area two weeks ago. Yes, I was on the roof. Hanging by a harness.

Speaking of boring, my Dad was to the cancer doctor this past week for a check up. The doctor reported his most recent test results as "boring", but followed by saying, boring is good! Hallelujah!!!!!!!

Update on my Dad

This week has been real exciting for our family. This Tuesday, my Dad returned to work after 10 months of being off while battling cancer. The doctors are amazed and we are praising the Lord. He has been released from the doctor to return to work with no restrictions. He along with the rest of us is very happy. Words just cannot express how we feel. All the glory and all the praise belongs to Jesus.
Thank you to everyone who prayed.

Guitar Lessons

As if I wasn't busy enough already, I have decided to take guitar lessons. I have had a guitar for several years and played around with it some, but nothing much.

I learned about a gentlemen in our area that gave lessons, so I decided to give it a try. It seems to be going well.

Moms Lighthouse

This was our Christmas project this year. Bill got the idea that we should make a lighthouse for my Mom for Christmas. Here is how it turned out.

It is approx. 6 feet tall.

Christmas Lights

Once again this year, we have on display our nearly 14,000 Christmas lights. It was suggested that since I posted outside pictures last year, I should post some inside pictures this year. Here are just a few.
